It's time for another round of

This month's Birchbox was not my favorite ever, but once again I picked up a few good things. First off they threw in a twistband. I seriously love these y'all. If you haven't picked one up, you need to! They are super flexible and don't crimp your hair!

Then I got a
pack of the La Fresh Instant Body Soothers. These are wipes for your hands, face body, etc. that are supposed to sooth skin. They smell great and are definitely refreshing, but I don't think I'd invest in them.
This Custom Color Club Polish was my favorite find of the box. Birchbox and Color Club teamed up this month to put together a few of the hottest colors of the season. I got the rose gold metallic color called "put a pin in it" I'm OBSESSED. This is definitely worth the $8 investment
They also threw in a few of these brush guards. Definitely a nice thing to have when traveling. These are supposed to protect your brushes and help them keep their shape. They're essentially like those chinese finger traps and they can expand around pretty much any brush.
Boscia Purfiying Cleansing Gel is preservative free, which is great. I've only tested it out once, so I don't feel like I can give you a recommendation one way or another, but so far so good!
I think I'm just not a Beauty Balm person. I need/want more coverage. While this Dr. Jart Beauty Balm is by far the best I've ever tried, I still got oily and felt like my imperfections were obvious a few hours into wear. I do have super oily skin and am constantly battling all of my products to extend the wear, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
So that's it. My September
Birchbox. Want to see more? Here's my
August,
July,
June, and

I've never heard of a twist band before, but it sounds amazing!

This is my first month without the Birchbox. I subscribed for a year but never got any good stuff!
ReplyDeleteI was obsessed with the rose gold polish too! Looks like you got a great box!
ReplyDeleteI got a twistband in my box too! It's actually really sad, it unraveled almost immediately. I have 1057501 other ones though that have never done that. Exciting
ReplyDelete..stupid enter key. EXCITING - box otherwise though. I cancelled due to the move, but this was a nice final box for me. (I guess I should get that review up now)
ReplyDeleteLook like you got some good stuff! I think the idea of brush covers is great! I hate when they get bent bristles!

i love the twistbands, too!! this months was actually one of my favorite birchbox months so far... can't wait for october :)and my polish color was this great blue, but i love yours, too!
ReplyDeleteAh! Your box IS the best ever! lol. jk, but it's really great! You're one of the lucky ones that got Boscia ;D I love Boscia! You have a good variety of stuff. I love that nail color, too! And the Twistbands--yes! They wear so easily and don't give me a headache. I was so happy to see that Remington(?) came out with a version at Target etc. I love the lacy twistbands. The BB cream is good for spots on my face, but I use it along with another foundation, because it's not enough coverage for me, either. I have too many pink undertones and I like to kinda even that out a little more. I love BB creams for around my eyes, nose, and forehead, though--then I just dab on a touch of foundation where it's needed :) Those La Fresh wipes are so interesting--I wonder if they'll remove makeup.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog :) I'm following you on GFC! Daydreaming Realist
This looks like such a great combination of stuff.. I feel like I would use all of it! The hair ties and brush guards are my faves though!
ReplyDeleteI love birchbox!!! :)
ReplyDelete,,,i'm considering joining "birchbox" how long have you been a member? thumbs up or down? here's a little secret. well maybe you already know. after spending what i thought was a ridiculous amount of money at anthropologie for a few hair ties (they are cute though) i found the VERY same hair ties (2 packs of 4or5 can't remember) at target for $2.50 per pack. what i expecially love is target has black ties which is generally what i prefer to wear versus color ones. check it out on your next visit to target,,,
ReplyDeleteI really need to look into this birchbox!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to start birchbox back up I think. I want to try the BB.
