Friday's Fancies: Pop of Neon

I'm not going to lie. I've not been the biggest fan of the neon trend. While my personal style is pretty colorful, neon just strikes me as a bit abrasive. Needless to say when I saw this week's topic I made it my mission to find a neon look I would actually wear.

When I came across this dress, I knew this was it.

While this isn't exactly the most affordable look I've ever put together, I absolutely love it! So how do you feel about neon? How have you managed to work it in to your style? I need some help!

    That dress is amazing! I've got a few neon tees that I wear and love them. I think a great starting point might be neon shoes - I know Old Navy has some for like $20. Just a pop of color that wouldn't be too overwhelming. Or maybe some jewelry like bracelets or earrings would be a place to start. Still a statement - but not as much as some other options!

    I am really loving this dress! It has the perfect amount of neon without crossing into highlighter territory!

    It took me a while to embrace neon too. At first it gave me 90s flashbacks. I was thinking oh god. In 20 years we will be like what?! But it's a bit more refined this time around.

    I feel the same about neon...it's such a strong colour that I'm worried I couldn't pull it off! But this dress is a great way to wear neon with elegance :)

    I LOVE peridot- perhaps bc I was born in August and its my birthstone... The dress is such an amazing shape- great pics.

    That dress is perfect to be on trend but not overwhelming. Has anyone tried Jessica Simpson dresses? I keep thinking about it but haven't gotten around to it. I think they would work for a busty girl like me!

    That dress is adorable! I really really like it! I personally love neon and have no idea why. I think it may have something to do with my love for the 80s. I love pairing neon with neutrals- so fabulous!

    I love neon, but I've yet to find a way to incorporate it into my wardrobe. I see neon as beachy and casual, so I'll probably pick up a neon tee or tank at some point. Paired with jeans it should be an easy look to pull off! Happy Friday!

    I love neon and I LOVE that dress!!! I just got a neon top at Target that I can't wait to wear! You can always start small.. a scarf, nail polish, sandals! :)

    I love this look so much! I got a great hot pink neon button down shirt from Gap earlier this year, and I have been having fun mixing neon jewelry into my neutrals!

    I'm just starting to get into neon. I've been taking baby steps in terms of wearing brighter pieces. I just bought neon pink shorts from J. Crew so hopefully I'll be brave enough to wear them this summer!
