Emerald Inaugural {FF #15}

I'm not going to lie, I've had Inauguration on the brain all week. I'm so excited to get all dressed up, see friends and family, and pretend like we are a part of the Washington elite. What a glamourous life I lead (said with full sarcasm). So after Wednesday's post where I talked inaugural options, where SO many of you commented and just gushed about the emerald option (no longer available at Macy's BTW, ANNOYING), I've been re-evaluating my options. I want to incorporate emerald one way or another. But should I run out and get a new dress? or maybe invest in a few accessories? What to do. What to do. So these are all options I would love to consider adding to my look.

Emerald Inaugural

What do y'all think? Full on gown? or do I stick with accessories?

PS. How amazing would it be for Michelle to rock that Elie Saab Gown? I'm dying just thinking about it.  Have a great weekend loves!

everything elie saab does is ridiculously amazing. SO jealous you get to run around to 3 different balls! have you considered rent the runway?

Maybe I am the only one scared of color, but I was going to say go with emerald accessories! Sorry to muddy the water! Maybe I should branch out and stop wearing so much black and white. It seems like everyone is loving all this green. (Note: I am currently wearing black, white and gray. How boring)

Emerald is such a gorgeous color that whatever option you chose you'd look amazing! However, if you went with emerald accessories, you could wear them throughout the year. I don't know if you'd get the same wearability out of a dress. Just my $0.02. Have a great weekend!

Beautiful gowns. However, I would stick with accessories. You'll probably wear them throughout the year. :)

I say get a new dress!! There aren't that many opportunities to totally marinate in the feeling of being a girl and picking out a gorgeous new gown, so take those chances ;) and my god, emerald would look gorgeous on you. Especially that sequin dress- SO pretty!

I think you should accessorize a gorgeous dress you already own with some of these beautiful emerald accents, like the earrings and the clutch. I'm headed to DC on Thursday for my first inauguration and am so excited (I heard it's frigid, though)! Have so much fun!
